Ronan is surrounded by spectacular landscapes and truly timeless scenes of authentic Montana. This rustic community is located on the Flathead Indian Reservation just minutes from Flathead Lake—the largest freshwater lake West of the Mississippi.

Ronan attractions include the Ninepipe National Wildlife Refuge, set just of U.S. Highway 93 with the Mission Mountains to the east providing a dramatic backdrop. This sweeping, serene setting of wetlands and upland grasses includes over 800 glacial potholes and a 1,770-acre reservoir plus more than 200 species of birds. Driving on Ninepipe Road, which crosses the dam that creates Ninepipe Reservoir, is available year-round. Walking is limited on the refuge as water comprises over 80% of the area.

Kicking Horse Reservoir is another Ronan natural gem conveniently located along US-93 at the base of the Mission Mountains, which are flawlessly mirrored in the water. The Mission Mountain Golf Course provides a stunning golf location, and Muley Bluz Cowboy Toys is an aesthetically unique and eclectic shop for all things “cowboy.”

Just over 20 minutes northeast of Ronan, the 18,766-acre Bison Range boasts 350+ head of bison, plus deer, elk, pronghorn antelope and more, all against a tranquil Montana backdrop.
